Can you believe it?  I can’t.  I was chosen as the blogger of the second half of the month at OurBlogReview.com.  Though it is directed at BlogBait.net, I feel that I had to comment here because I get more traffic here and BlogBait.net is like the left arm of my group of websites.  I feel like I have been under performing compared to several of my blog friends like Bloggerlounge.net, Harpzon.com, BrianBaker.com, and Notsoboringlife.com. who all started around the same time that I started.

But hey this blogger of the month thing has really got me motivated again! I mean look at OurBlogReview.com, it has never looked so good.  That is a big picture of me on someone else’s site and I love it!

I have decided to activate the DoFollow plugin and Top Commenters.  I believe this along with my great content will encourage discussion, because I know that I am motivated when it comes trying to be the top commenter or knowing that I will recieve a link back for commenting.

Yesterday, I got an email from Adam at Pixelheadonline.com telling me that my RSS feed was not working and sure enough it had failed.  Feedburner seems to have a problem with the smart quotes that I was using in my posts, so the computer gave me the boot.  I am avoiding SmartQuotes now, so there should not be any further RSS feed problems.

The first thing I noticed is how he talks a lot about himself, which is the original point of his blog, but those kind of posting will not generate return traffic. It is going to be really hard to generate money from your blog in its current state. If you are asking for support through medical school, it is necessary for your visitors to know who you are, but in the about page their is almost nothing about who you are.
